Basic Wire Skills
by On The Rocks
Learn some basic wire techniques such as wire wrapped loops, and creating shapes to use for links and clasps. You will make a necklace out of silver plated craft wire or copper wire and beads. Wire guages, tools, hammering, and cutting are covered in this 2 hr session. All tools and materials are provided for the class, but you should bring magnifers (glasses, visors, etc. ) if you have them.
Bead Embroidered Case

Bead Embroidery is a free form style of bead weaving that allows you to develop your own designs with ease. In this you will create a case for business cards or your sewing scissors with seed beads on ultra suede. This class is intermediate. Some previous weaving experience is recommended. Basic materials will be included in the class fee, but you may want to supplement some of your own Delicas and 11/0 seed beads for additional color and impact.
Cocktail Cluster Rings

This is a versatile ring design that can be used in many applications. You will learn to contrust a freeform ring using copper/brass 16 gauge wire, 26-24 gauge wire, a copper washer ring, and gemstone rondelles (2-4mm). This is great for those that have some wire experience but possible for a biginner to manage. A ring mandrel, small ball pien hammer and rubber mallet or rawhide mallet is needed. Kits and tools will be available but it is encouraged to bring the tools you are use to and beads if you like. Flush cutters, flatnose plyers, and round nose plyers will be used. The stock picture used is an example of what the rings could look like.
Cold Connection Bracelet

We will be cutting metal and texturing it. We will make our own jump rings. We will use cold connection methods to attatch adornments. We will also make our own clasp for the bracelet. Beginner Level.
Etching Metal

We will be learning to etch metal using a chemical solution, using rubber stamps, and markers as a resist, then we will oxidize the metal, and make a pair of ear rings, the metal could also be used for the cold connection bracelet. Beginner Level.
Soldering For Beaders

If you have had trouble with your jump rings or split rings remaining closed and secure, this is the class for you. Learn to solder using a soldering iron and your troubles will disappear! All tools and supplies are provided for the class but you should bring magnification (glasses, visor, etc. ) with you if you have it. Equipment will be available for sale after the class.

Tila Earrings

This is an original design by Sharon Kyser. Learn how to use Tila beads to bezel Rivoli crystals. It makes a stunning pair of earrings. Kits are available or you can bring your own supplies. This class is a basic weaving class, but some previous weaving experience is recommended.
Victoria`s Crown

This is a gorgeous project which requires no more than advanced beginner skill. If you are comfortable with needle-thread, you can do it! The bracelet pattern can also be adopted for a ring, a necklace and earrings! A super investment!.
Wire Working

Supplies include 16 gauge and 22 gauge wire, and a coiling gizmo. If you have any of these items to bring with you, the supply fee will be reduced or waived
In this class you will learn how to use the coiling gizmo to coil wire, make spirals, Jupiter beads eye pins, and a clasp. This is a beginner class.
