Biography

I am Elizabeth Girod, a Self-Representing Artist, SRA. I have been working in glass for 13 years and making glass lampwork beads for 10 years. My journey in glass began in the stained glass field making large commission pieces such as doors, windows, mosaics and 1,000 piece lamp shades. After a couple of years I experimented with fusing glass applications taking that first step in to hot glass work and never looking back to cold glass work again. Thus began my love of melting glass and making little pieces of art to spread around the world. I am a full time lampwork artist. Every lampwork bead I offer is handmade by me. All beads I make are kiln annealed as soon as it leaves the torch flame, cleaned and inspected before it awaits its journey to a new home. I focus my designs on cheerful, unique color blend combinations with classic shapes that will stand out in a jewelry designers work.
